Today, many companies are turning back to the old wooden toys which were developed years ago, prior to the electronic frenzy, and the new technologies that were available to toy makers. Many of the plastic toys that kids play with are full of harmful chemicals, toxins, and can potentially be hazardous their health, depending on the exposure, and on the kinds of chemicals which companies put into these toys, when they are making them. So, although they are more high-tech, and offer features which wooden toys are not able to offer, these toys are being purchased less and less by parents, and they are going back to traditional wooden toys.

The main reason that traditional wooden toys are making a come back is due to the safety and health concerns. But, many parents are reminiscing on the toys they used to play with growing up, and they want their children to be able to play with these same wooden toys they had growing up. Additionally, toy developers also have a lot more in the form of technology and tools today, so even though the wood toys are a bit old-fashioned, they are still able to make them a lot more hi tech than they were able to when first introduced, and they have a lot more creativity to work with, due to TV and cartoon characters, which kids love watching today.

So, other than the safety aspect of wooden toys, and the fact that they are all natural, and will not cause any harm to your kids which is what all parents want. This has led to a design arc of innovation with new wooden toy designs being made in preference to plastic. So, even though the wooden toys are not going to be able to do some of the things that plastic toys can do, they are still going to be something that kids are going to enjoy playing with, because toy creators are using their favourite characters, cartoons, and TV shows, and mimicking the wooden toys after these themes. So, kids are still going to love playing with them.

For parents, it is more of a safety concern, and more of bringing back some of the toys they used to play with is a great way to build a bridge between the generation divides whilst still something that is going to introduce kids to a whole new set of toys, that they had never played with in the past.
